Trust your gut
Excessive compliments, "I've never felt this way before," and pressure to commit or become exclusive within days. Real intimacy takes time.
Any request for money, gift cards, crypto, or "help with an emergency" from someone you haven't met in person is a scam. Report and block immediately.
If they always have an excuse to skip video calls — camera broken, bad WiFi, "shy" — the profile may be fake. Try a spontaneous video call and see how they respond.

Their age, job, city, or photos don't match up between the profile and chat. Screenshot examples and report.
A safe date meets in a public place. If they insist on a hotel, a private residence, or "somewhere quiet" for a first meet — pass. Suggest a coffee, café, or park instead.
Rage, guilt-tripping, or silent-treatment tactics when you set a boundary. Real partners respect boundaries the first time.
